About the Speaker

Sha’Carri Richardson, one of the fastest women in the world, continues to inspire with her electrifying performances, resilience, and dynamic personality. As the 2023 100-meter World Champion, Sha’Carri made history by running a personal best and World Athletics Championship best of 10.65 seconds to secure her first international title before adding a 200-meter bronze and 4x100-meter gold in the same competition. Her 10.65 performance made her the fifth-fastest woman in history and set a championship record.

In 2024, she further cemented her dominance on the track by winning the U.S. Olympic Trials with a blazing 10.71 seconds in the 100 meters, securing her spot at the Paris Olympics. At the Games, she earned a silver medal in the 100-meter final with a time of 10.87 seconds, showcasing her ability to compete against the world’s best. She also played a crucial role in the U.S. women’s 4x100-meter relay team, anchoring them to a gold medal victory with a season-best 41.78 seconds.

In 2025, Sha’Carri returned to the global stage at the World Athletics Championships in Tokyo, where she successfully anchored the U.S. women’s 4x100-meter relay team to a dominant gold medal performance, solidifying her place among the all-time greats in track and field history.

In addition to winning as a pro, in her first year at Louisiana State University, Sha’Carri became the 100-meter NCAA Outdoor Champion with a record-setting time of 10.75 seconds. She also won collegiate track & field’s highest honor, the Bowerman Award, becoming the only freshman in its 11-year history to claim the title.

Beyond the track, Sha’Carri has expanded her influence through several high-profile partnerships. She continues her collaboration with Nike and has secured endorsements with brands such as WHOOP, OLAY, Beats By Dre, Powerade, Google and Oikos. In 2024, she signed a new deal with Sprite as the first woman to be a part of the iconic Obey Your Thirst campaign, reinforcing her commitment to being a trailblazer on and off the track. Beyond endorsements, she is the founder of Flow N Go, a beauty brand rooted in confidence and self-expression. She also serves as a founding advisor and part-owner of ATHLOS, helping shape the future of women’s track and field.

A cultural phenomenon with over 7 million followers across social media, Sha’Carri continues to prove that she is ‘That Girl,’ breaking barriers, inspiring millions, and unapologetically creating her own lane.

Building the Next Era of Women's Sport

What happens when the athlete isn't just a competitor within the league — but one of its owner-advisors? ATHLOS was built on a radical idea: that the women who compete at the highest level should have a real voice and seat at the table in the sport they define. In this conversation, Alexis Ohanian, founder of Seven Seven Six and ATHLOS, sits down with Sha'Carri Richardson — Olympic champion, cultural force, and ATHLOS athlete advisor-owner — to explore what it means to build a sports league with your athletes rather than around them. They'll talk about why the old model of women's sport left so much on the table, what it takes to reimagine the infrastructure from scratch and how the next generation of athletes is rewriting the relationship between competition, ownership and cultural impact.
