Matthew Tkachuk is a 28-year-old native of Scottsdale, Ariz., and a 10-season veteran of the National Hockey League. Since being acquired by the Florida Panthers ahead of the 2022-23 season, he has helped lead the Cats to three straight Stanley Cup Finals, including back-to-back championships in each of the last two seasons. A finalist for the Hart Trophy given to the NHL’s most valuable player in 2022-23, Tkachuk has produced 286 points (101-185-286) over 241 regular season games with Florida and 69 points (25-44-69) over his last three postseasons. On the international stage, Tkachuk has represented the United States at several tournaments including most recently where he served as alternate captain for the United States at 2026 Winter Olympic Games, helping the U.S. capture its first gold medal in men’s ice hockey since 1980. Tkachuk’s brother is Ottawa Senators Captain Brady Tkachuk and their father, Keith Tkachuk, is a USA Hockey legend who scored the third-most goals of any American-born player in NHL history (538) and helped the U.S. capture a championship at the 1996 World Cup of Hockey over Canada. Prior to his professional career, Tkachuk captured the Memorial Cup as a member of the Ontario Hockey League’s London Knights in 2015-16, scoring the championship-winning goal in overtime in the final game.
